Anne Wagner, PhD

Anne WagnerAnne Wagner is Manager, Environmental and Public Policy and a member of the leadership team at the Questa Mine, Chevron Mining Inc. (formerly Molycorp, Inc.) facility in New Mexico.   In this role, she is responsible for managing environmental compliance, permitting, monitoring, and public and government affairs for CMI’s Questa facility.  Additionally, Anne supports the facility’s legacy environmental remediation and reclamation projects.   Dr. Wagner has published several papers on plant propagation and re-vegetation techniques for high altitude steep slope reclamation. 

Anne holds a B.S. Degree in Biology from Fort Hays State University in western Kansas, and a M.S. and PhD in Agronomy and Horticulture from New Mexico State University.  She began her career as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador.  Upon return to the U.S., Anne attended graduate school and focused her research on vegetative propagation of forest species.  Following graduate school, she was a post-doc for New Mexico State University and a re-vegetation consultant.  Anne has over 20 years of experience in environmental science and management, including specialization in plant physiology and reclamation.

Anne serves as Chair of the New Mexico Mining Association’s Environment Committee; Chair of National Mining Association’s Water Subcommittee, and is on the advisory board for the Women’s Mining Coalition.
