Wanda Burget, Director of Sustainability,
Peabody Energy
Wanda Burget is currently the Director of Sustainability for Peabody Energy. She is responsible for training, project development, analysis and reporting for Peabody's corporate and social responsibility initiatives in the United States. She also maintains responsibility for western regional regulatory and governmental issues.
Ms. Burget’s previous experience includes Sr. Manager–Regulatory Services–West, where she provided leadership, expertise, and knowledge in management, communication, and resolution of western and related national regulatory and government relations issues.
Her experience also includes Manager–Environmental Engineering, where she was responsible for Powder River Coal, LLC environmental compliance and permitting, regulatory services and federal coal leasing programs in support of four large surface coal mines in the Wyoming (3) and Montana (1) Powder River Basin.
Ms. Burget holds a B.A. in Biology (Major) and Chemistry (Minor) Cum Laude from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
